"It's not about talent. It's about dedication." Bart Walter --Sculptor

Sculpture Materials: Sculpture Materials
  • Wooden base
  • Threaded post
  • Flat washers
  • Lock washers
  • Nuts that will fit onto threaded post
  • Hose clamps
  • Aluminium armature wire (Art store)
Not pictured:
  • A drill and a "Forstner" drill bit to drill a recess into bottom of base
  • Wrenches to tighten nuts on threaded post
  • And a screwdriver to tighten hose clamps
The wood forms the base, the threaded post is the main support for the armature wire and the clay or wax, the lock-washers and nuts secure the threaded post onto the base, (from the top and bottom). The hose clamp is secured to the top of the threaded post which you'll run your aluminium wire through. The wire acts as a skeletal system for your sculpture.

After you have positioned your "skeletal system" you can then begin to add you clay or wax.
